Are you looking to buy a new budget smartphone?
But seems to be confused after tonnes of options being available in the market that too from the same brands!
Well just in case if that wasn’t confusing enough, Realme is back with Another smartphone Realme XT as their latest budget offering.
So is it any good?
In this article, we will be reviewing the all-new recently launched Realme XT to check if it is the best bang for the buck.
The all-new Realme XT Comes with a Snapdragon 712 SoC clocked at 2.3Ghz coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage whereas the top-end variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage.
There is also another variant which offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage.
Adreno 616 is said to be the GPU here.
The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top.
All of this is powered by a 4000mAh battery which does support fast charging at 20W.
Fortunately, Realme is also providing the 20W fast charging adapter out of the box.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 712 is a 64-Bit Octa-Core Processor clocked at 2.3Ghz with Eight Kryo 360 Cores and Built on 10nm FinFet Process technology.
Snapdragon 710 comes with an AIE(Artificial Intelligence Engine) built-in to improve user experience and overall performance of the phone.
Qualcomm Hexagon 685 is used as DSP (Digital Signal Processor).
On the front, there is a 6.4-inches FHD+ 19.5:9 AMOLED Display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a notch on top.
Whereas on the back, there is a Vertical Quad Camera Setup and Realme branding.
There is no fingerprint scanner on the back as Realme has opted for an in-display fingerprint scanner this time.
The Device back is completely made up of Glass and does feel sturdy.
Honestly, a lot of people including me have been pinning down Realme for using Plastic Back on their devices.
Great Job Realme!
On the back, there is a Vertical Quad Camera Setup consisting of
- 64-Megapixel Samsung GW1 ISOCELL Sensor with f/1.8 Aperture
- 8-Megapixel Wide-Angle Lens with f/2.3 Aperture
- 2-Megapixel f/2.4 Depth Sensor
- 2-Megapixel f/2.4 Macro Lens
Realme XT Can shoot up to 4k@30fps and 120fps Slow-motion@1080p.
On the front, we get to see a 16-Megapixel f/2.0 shooter for selfies.
This 64-Megapixel Samsung GW1 is of course new to Indian Market and we cannot comment on anything before testing it thoroughly.
Although, the initial impression seems to be better Realme X and kind of comparative to Sony IMX 586.
There is much more detailing than the regular Sony IMX 586 but lacks dynamic range.
Realme XT Price
Realme XT is launched in India at a starting price tag of ₹15,999 for the base variants and goes all the way up to ₹18,999 for the 8GB Ram and 128GB Internal Storage variant.
The device will be exclusively available online on Flipkart from 16th of September 2019, 12 Noon.
Although we at Techarbo believe that these phones are meant for a different type of users.
Still, Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to be launched by 25th October 2019, which seems to make much more sense than any Realme Phone out there in the market as of now.
And Realme is also planning a successor of Realme XT with Snapdragon 730G by the end of December.
In case if are looking to buy a new phone and cannot wait till October End, the Realme XT can be the best option for you if Camera and Build Quality are your highest priority.
If you need a device of Media Consumption is what you are looking for, simply go with Realme X.
