RealMe X Launched with Snapdragon 710 | Redmi K20 Killer?
RealMe is one of those rare brands which were able to establish themselves as a Giant in less than a year and all of that was possible because of their great back to back smartphones meant for the Indian market.
After offering so much value for money smartphones, RealMe is back again with their all-new RealMe X.
So is it any good?
In this article, we are going to review the all-new recently launched Realme X!
RealMe X comes with Snapdragon 710 with 4Gb of Ram and 8GB of Ram.
Both of them comes with the same 128GB of Internal Storage.
Do note that there is no 6GB Ram Variant.
The device comes with Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top.
Adreno 616 is the GPU which comes with Snapdragon 710 and it is the same GPU as on RealMe 3 Pro considering the fact that both of these phones share the same Processor.
And All of this is powered by a 3765mAh Battery which does support fast charging at 20W and COmes with VOOC fast Charger within the box.
Kudos to RealMe for that!
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 is a 64-Bit Octa-Core Processor clocked at 2.2Ghz with Kryo 360 Cores and Built on 10nm FinFet Process technology.
Snapdragon 710 comes with an AIE(Artificial Intelligence Engine) built-in to improve user experience and overall performance of the phone.
Qualcomm Hexagon 685 is used as DSP(Digital Signal Processor)
“VOOC 5V/4A Flash Charge powers up 50% battery in 30 mins. It is engineered to refuel devices up to double faster than conventional charging. The 3.0 version is upgraded with FFC algorithm for an even faster sprint to full battery, and the charging time decreases by 20%. With extraordinary ability to keep temperatures low, you can watch videos or play games while charging, without losing in speeds.” Mentioned by RealMe on RealMe.com
On the front, there is a 6.53-inches FHD+ AMOLED Display offering a Completely Bezel-less experience without any notch or punch hole camera.
And is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Front Camera is moved to the Top as Pop-Up camera to accomplish Bezel-Less Display Design.

Whereas on the back, there is a vertical dual camera setup and completely Plastic Built Back Panel.
This is also the first RealMe phone to feature USB Type-C Port but keep in mind that you won’t get faster transfer speeds.
The Dual Vertical Camera Setup at the back consists of a 48-Megapixel Sony IMX 586 Sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and another 5-Megapixel Depth Sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 for Depth Sensing.
On the front, there is a 16-Megapixel shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 for Selfies.
There are certain nifty features too such as Nightscape and Portrait mode.
RealMe also claims it to shoot super slo-mo at 960fps which is a complete gimmick as we have already seen with RealMe 3 Pro.
In India, the 4GB Ram variant for the RealMe X is priced at ₹16,999 and the 8GB Ram variant is priced at ₹19,999.
At the price tag of ₹19,999 and ₹19,999 in India, there is no competitor against RealMe X.
Like for sure you can get a Poco F1 too at ₹19,999 but Poco F1 is in its own league and different kind of a device.
Poco F1 is definitely not meant for Regular and average users.
And while the RealMe X is far better than RealMe 3 Pro, it also stands against the Vivo Z1 Pro.
Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a large 5000mAh Battery and a More Powerful Snapdragon 712 compared to Snapdragon 710 on RealMe X.
Whereas RealMe X offers a more modern design with complete Bezel-Less Display and Pop-Up Camera.
Although, the face unlock will be faster by some milliseconds on the Vivo Z1 Pro as the camera doesn’t have to pop out off the body.
Both of the smartphones are poor when it comes to software experience.

Well, if you don’t shave any issue with ColorOS, RealMe is definitely worth considering if your budget is restricted to ₹16,999.
However, we suggest you not to buy the 8GB Ram variant for ₹19,999 as it doesn’t worth that price.
Don’t go with the Numbers, as Quality always wins over Quantity.
Snapdragon 710 is good but not powerful enough to utilize 8GB Ram.
Also if you think that Ram has to be utilized by the software, ColorOS ain’t good either.
