Xiaomi literally destroyed the competition last year with their new Sub-brand Poco by launching a Device with Flagship Snapdragon 845 at a price that nobody expected, and the Poco F1 still holds its position without any competitor even after a Year.

Now Xiaomi is Back with their another sub-brand Redmi and has launched Redmi K20 Pro which is also being called as the successor to Poco F1.

The all-new Redmi K20 Pro not only comes with the latest and Fastest Snapdragon Processor but also fixes on every issue and complaints that people had last year with Poco F1.

We are surprised to say that, but Redmi K20 Pro is the only smartphone in the market right now without any compromises.

Yes, you heard correct, It is the only phone which we can call a perfect phone.

Still, there are some minor issues with it but cannot be termed as deal-breaker and can be easily ignored.

And in this article, we are going to completely review Xiaomi’s Latest Flagship killer Redmi K20 Pro.

Specifications

K20 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 855 with 6GB of Ram and 128Gb of Internal Storage for the base variant while the top-end variant comes with 8Gb of Ram and 256GB of Internal Storage.

The Device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.

Adreno 640 is said to be the GPU here.

And all of this is powered by a 4000mAh battery which does support fast charging at 27W but only comes with 18W Charger out of the box.

Though, Xiaomi has announced a new 27W Charger too for ₹999 which you can anytime purchase from their Official Website

Snapdragon 855

Qualcomm’s latest flagship offering Snapdragon 855 is a 64-Bit Octa-Core Processor with Eight Kryo-485 Cores clocked at 2.84Ghz and built on 7nm Process technology.

This Chipset does support 5G Technology which is yet to be launched in India but there is no word by the company if the Black Shark will support it or not.

GPU used here is Adreno 640 and does come with AIE(Artificial Intelligence Engine) Technology.

Qualcomm’s Hexagon 690 Processor is used as DSP(Digital Signal Processor).

Overview

On the front, there is a 6.39-inches FHD+ AMOLED Display with DCPI-3 Color Gamut and offers a complete bezel-less experience without any notch or punch-hole camera.

Xiaomi has opted for Pop-Up Front Camera system just like the OnePlus 7 Pro.

If you are worried about its durability, Checkout this article!

Pop-Up Camera on Redmi K20 Pro also comes with a Glowing LED Light on its sides which definitely attracts the attention of the person looking at the phone.

These LED lights embedded on the sides of Pop-Up Camera will also act as a notification LED light too.

The Frame is completely made up of Metal which makes it feel like a sturdy phone.

On the back, there is a Vertical Triple Camera Setup, Redmi Branding and a Unique Pattern depending upon the color variant which you will choose.

The Back is completely made up of Glass and Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Xiaomi is also using an In-Display Fingerprint Sensor this time, they call it as their 7th-Gen In-display Fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K20 Pro Pop-Up Camera
Redmi K20 Pro Pop-Up Camera

Camera Department

There is a Vertical Triple Camera Setup on the back of the phone placed at the centre consisting of a 48-Megapixel Sony IMX 586 Primary Shooter with an Aperture of f/1.75, 8-Megapixel Telephoto Shooter with an Aperture of f/2.4 and a 13-Megapixel Wide Angle Lens with an Aperture of f/2.4 which is 124º Wide.

All of the three cameras can shoot at 4k@60fps.

The Primary Sensor also comes with Slo-mo 960fps@1080 resolution

Redmi has implemented Laser Auto-focus system for fast and accurate focusing unlike the Dual-Pixel Auto-Focusing system on Poco F1.

On the top, there is a Pop-up 20-Megapixel Shooter for Selfies and can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps.

Pricing

Redmi K20 Pro comes at a starting Price tag of ₹27,999 for the 6GB Ram and 128GB Internal Storage variant.

Whereas the higher-end variant which comes with 8GB of Ram and 256GB of Internal Storage is priced at ₹30,999.

Market Competition

At such Pricing, the phone directly competes with OnePlus 7 which is also OnePlus’s Latest Flagship of 2019.

And to be very honest, both of the phones offer similar performance.

But overall, Redmi K20 Pro has an advantage.

Redmi has optimized their MIUI a lot for their K20 Pro and even has decided to remove all the ads, this makes K20 Pro faster than the OnePlus 7.

A very renowned YouTube C4eTech has made a video on that, you can check it out by clicking right here.

Link to the Speed Test Comparison

Even when it comes to hardware, K20 wins as it comes with a complete Bezel-Less Display compared to a Dew Drop Notch on OnePlus 7.

Redmi K20 Pro also retains the Headphone jack unlike the OnePlus 7.

And K20 Pro comes with Triple Camera Setup compared to Dual Camera setup on OnePlus 7.

So for sure, OnePlus 7 has already been overthrown by K20 Pro.

But one aspect where OnePlus 7 has an edge is Software experience, as it comes with OxygenOS.

OxygenOS is way better than MIUI.

But I don’t think that anyone would sacrifice Full-Screen Bezel-Less display and even Pay ₹5,000 more just for the OxygenOS.

Other Phones in the Market like Asus Zenfone 6Z are competitive too but cannot be considered over K20 Pro.

Our Opinions

So what do we think is that, Redmi K20 Pro is definitely a worthy choice and user can anytime go with this over the OnePlus 7.

We feel that K20 Pro is a lot better in every aspect than the OnePlus 7 or any other device in this price range.

Overview

On the front, there is a 6.53-inches FHD+ FullView Display with a Punch-Hole Camera on top left.

Whereas on the back, there is a Vertical Triple Camera Setup and a Fingerprint sensor.

The back is completely made up of plastic but does look unique and premium.

Vivo has also not missed on Headphone jack too.

Although, it comes with Micro-USB port instead of Type-C USB port which could have been a Cherry on top.

Camera Department

Vivo Z1 Pro comes with Triple Camera Setup at the back consisting of a 16-Megapixel Sony IMX 499 Primary Shooter with an Aperture of f/1.79, 8-Megapixel Ultrawide shooter with aperture f/2.2 and a 2-Megapixel Depth Sensor with aperture f/2.4 for Portrait shots.

This device does live up to its hype, as both camera setups(front and rear) perform exceptionally well.

In fact, we were surprised to see its front camera performance.

Vivo Z1 Pro Front Look
Vivo Z1 Pro Front Look

Snapdragon 712

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 712 is a 64-Bit Octa-Core Processor clocked at 2.3Ghz with Eight Kryo 360 Cores and Built on 10nm FinFet Process technology.

Snapdragon 710 comes with an AIE(Artificial Intelligence Engine) built-in to improve user experience and overall performance of the phone.

Qualcomm Hexagon 685 is used as DSP(Digital Signal Processor).

Market Competition

At the starting price of ₹14,999 for the base variant, Vivo Z1 Pro directly competes with Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and RealMe 3 Pro which have already been approved as best smartphone under their price category.

Frankly speaking, Vivo Z1 Pro is way better than RealMe 3 Pro and Redmi note 7 Pro, but there are some sacrifices too that you might have to make.

Like the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Type-C charging port which is more of like future proof thing.

Not only that, Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with MIUI which is not the best but way better than ColorOS and FunTouchOS.

Moreover, Redmi Note 7 Pro has Fairly good Community development, which means that you can anytime flash a Custom ROM and replace MIUI with Stock Android and still have a stable phone.

RealMe 3 Pro offers fast charging which can charge the phone completely in just 80 Minutes. But that’s the only advantage.

Our Opinions

What do we think about Vivo Z1 Pro is that if you can live with FunTouchOS without any issue, Go with Vivo Z1 pro as it is the best phone available under ₹20,000 so far.

Surely, there is the Samsung Galaxy M40 too which offers the same Punch-Hole Camera but it does lack a lot of features at the same time and isn’t as good as Vivo Z1 Pro.

So what do you think about the all-new Vivo Z1 Pro?

How Long Can an Average Smartphone Last? 2019 Edition

0
smartphone durability

If you are reading this article, There are chances that you are looking to buy a new smartphone for a long period of time. Probably for 2-3 Years or even more.

But the main question that arises is that, can Smartphones last for such a long period of time without any issue?

And for your Ease, we will also be listing smartphones for every budget which can be the best option for you and we will also be updating the list regularly.

Well to answer that, we will divide smartphone into 5 Basis to know if they can survive and be used without any issues!

Before we further continue, 5 Basis are!

  • Build Quality
  • Processor
  • Community Development
  • Battery
  • Usage

Build Quality

Build quality plays a very important role in the life span of a smartphone.

A phone with Poor build quality won’t last long whereas a phone with excellent or even good build quality may easily be used for a Longer period of time.

For instance, people are still using OnePlus One these days which did had a lot better build quality despite being a Flagship killer of its own time.

Usually, Flagship Killers don’t have good build quality but it seems like the time has changed now.

Although one cannot judge build quality in a moment, to get an idea, any phone having Metal Build may last anytime much more than a phone with Glass back.

Glass is the only Thing you will find in a smartphone that shatters. And having it on both sides means that the chances of it being shattered after a drop are higher.

While Companies do claim Their Back Panel glasses to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it will shatter and many people have experienced it.

So why do companies launch glass back phones?

Well, that’s a topic for another article, as of now we can only say that Flagship Premiuim Phones comes with Glass back to feature Wireless-Charging, and Mid-Range phones opt for the glass back just to give it a premium look.

Samsung Exynos Processor
Samsung Exynos Processor

Processor

A Processor plays the most important part in the functioning of the phone, and there is a specific reason for them being called Brain of a Smartphone.

Powerful processors ensure that you can anytime use them for a longer period of time but this doesn’t mean that phones with weaker processor won’t last long.

A phone with a Weaker processor like Mediatek 6737  will last long too but it is just the fact that it will be “Just Usable” and you will notice Lags while performing daily tasks too.

As per today’s Standards, Snapdragon 625 and 630 are weaker processors.

Snapdragon 660 and 675 are what considered midrange these days.

And Snapdragon 845, 855 are the most powerful ones out there.

Well-Known AOSP Custom Rom
Well-Known AOSP Custom Rom

Community Development

Community development plays a very important role in making users use their phone for a long period of time.

A phone with Huge or even an average Community development, can easily be used for at least 2-3 Years or even more if you don’t want the latest Hardware features.

Users are still using Redmi Note 3(2016), Oneplus One(2014) even today because of the fact that they had powerful enough processor and large community development.

Understand the harsh fact that after a Year or so, your phone slows down not because it has become obsolete, but because the company wants you to purchase a new one.

Companies do slow down their phones intentionally whenever a newer model comes to market.

How to solve this?

A phone with even an Average community development means that you can download Custom Roms for your device and make your phone not only fast and fluid but also increase battery life and make it run exactly like how it was used to when you purchased it.

Do note that Oppo, Vivo and Realme phones have no community development.

Xiaomi and OnePlus phones have decent community development.

So far, Poco has the largest Community development ever for an Android device.

Another thing to note is that, if your phone comes with Snapdragon Processor, there are chances that your phone might have some community development to get you a stable ROM.

Smartphone Battery
Smartphone Battery

Battery

RAM, Processor, Camera sensors, Screen usually last for a longer period of time on any phone. But a battery is the only component to degrade in a smartphone quickly.

A Battery may last 6 Months or a maximum of 1 year. This doesn’t mean your battery will die after that, it will only perform poorer.

Why does that happen?
Unfortunately, that too is a topic for another day.

As of now, you can check out this article.

If you are planning to use a phone for a longer period of time, aim for a phone with Large battery capacity.

These days, 4000mAh is becoming more of an industry standard, but you can even get 5000mAh battery phones in every budget category.

Like Asus Zenfone Max Pro 1 if you are under a budget of Rs 7999 and Asus Zenfone 6Z in case your budget is up to ₹35999.

Usage

Even after all of these, one cannot predict how long a smartphone will precisely last because of different Usage patterns.

Some users use the device roughly, like Charging phones too many times which isn’t bad at all but isn’t suggested if you are expecting it to last for a longer period of time.

Charging your phone twice a day is okay but anything above that needs to be reconsidered.

Using phones with a Cover and tempered glass on top can extend your phones life by a considerable amount of time.

So yep cases and tempered glasses are recommended.

Now we do understand the fact that cases make our phone bulky(we hate them too) but you can use a skin which not only protects your phone but also keeps the sleekness intact.

Skin Manufactures like Dbrand and Gadgets Shieldz provide the best quality smartphone skin one can ever get!

Bonus Tip

Here is a bonus tip from our side. Never buy the base(lowest) variant of a smartphone.

For Example, If a Phone is available in two variants of 3GB Ram and 4GB Ram. Buy the 4GB Ram Variant.

If you cannot afford it, look for another phone which you can buy, but never buy the base(lowest) variant.

They won’t last any longer.

If you are buying a New Flagship Phone, then it is fine to buy base variant.

But don’t go with them if the phone is priced under ₹30000.

Look for some other options.

Buying a top end variant means that it will last for a longer period of time and will perform better too than lower variants.

Why Motorola isn’t launching Good Smartphones? Next Micromax?

0
motorola smartphone

Motorola was always known for best phones out in their segment, but unfortunately, Motorola wasn’t able to continue this legacy.

While it was still good till early 2017, Their every phone was trash after that.

Moto G7 and G6 Series were even worse.

Now they are back with Moto One Vision which does offer unique features but doesn’t justify its price at all.

And after all of this, can we say that Motorola is dead? And is Moto next Micromax?
Let us find out in this article!

Technological Environment

Well, a big reason for Motorola being spoiled up is it being bought by Lenovo in 2014.

And the effect took place from Late 2017.

Lenovo bought Motorola Smartphone mobility sector from Google and did make it worse.

Moto being under Google made many amazing and killer smartphones like Moto G 1st and 2nd Gen.

Moto E was also ahead of its time!

As time passed, Moto started to lose its legacy with extremely priced Smartphones for what they offer!

Literally, a Phone priced at ₹16,999 and offering just an average camera with Snapdragon 632 in 2019?

At the same time, Xiaomi offers Redmi Note 7 Pro which comes with Snapdragon 675 and a lot better camera at just ₹13,999 which can be even grabbed for just ₹12,999 in upcoming sales!

So why would anyone buy Moto?

We completely understand that Moto G7 was meant to aim Offline Market, which is already conquered by Oppo and Vivo so obviously, there is no space for Motorola.

And If you recall, this was exactly what happened with Micromax, they continued to launch overpriced smartphones in the offline market and later lost against Xiaomi.

These days, Micromax might be Manufacturing some phones for the government and LG but their reputation among consumers is something that they won’t be able to bring back again.

Moto One Vision
Moto One Vision

OTA Updates

Updates also play an important role in order to establish in India.

Indian consumers expect Regular updates for a long period of time.

This was also the main reason behind the success of Xiaomi and OnePlus in India.

And talking about Micromax and Moto, forget about updates.

This also become a reason for the downfall of Lenovo in the Indian market.

Irregular and buggy updates made consumers shift from Lenovo to other brands.

But I guess Lenovo wasn’t able to understand this!

Or even if they did, they weren’t able to Fix it for their devices due to some weird reasons which we won’t be able to know.

So is there any solution?

Well, it takes a hell lot of hard work for each and every sector of company to establish as a Giant in any country.

And to establish in India as Smartphone brands, Regular stable updates with Better hardware than the competition is must have.

RealMe was able to figure it out and emerged as the fastest growing smartphone brand in India.

Even Samsung has started to figure this out and improved a lot with their upcoming smartphones designed especially for  India under the price tag of ₹20,000.

While their M series still not be recommendable, it way better than what was offered earlier by Samsung.

There are many brands in India which couldn’t figure it out earlier than Chinese Brands, and when they did, they were already out of the race.

Some brands like Onida, Lava, Micromax, and Spice can be used as examples.

And now it seems like Motorola might be joining this list too.

Stock Android
Stock Android

Just to clarify, I am not a hater of Motorola by any means and is just a person who loved Moto at some point in time.

I Really hope that they will understand it and will figure it out too at the same time.

Reducing the Profit margin is the first step in terms of that.

Xiaomi claims it to have just 5% Profit margin on their products.

While RealMe went with just 3% Profit margin on their products.

What we feel is that Motorola is already good in terms of their software that is Stock Android and all they have to improve is to boost their Hardware Game!

Hardware Game is the only reason for Immediate success of Pocophone F1 Globally.

So what do you think about Motorola?

Let us know your thoughts in the description box below!

Asus Zenfone 6Z Launched: Flipping 48-Megapixel Camera

0
asus zenfone 6z camera

Asus has been on fire since the launch of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 last year and since then they have been surprising us with back to back amazing phones.

And now they are back with their latest flagship Asus Zenfone 6Z!

So is it any good?

Also considering the fact that they have been highlighting their 48-Megapixel Flipping camera a lot! And is it durable?

Let’s find out in this article!

Specifications

The all-new Asus Zenfone 6Z comes with a Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB of Ram and 64GB of Internal Storage for the base and variant, while the top variant comes with 12GB of Ram and 256GB of Ram.

The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with ZenUI 4.0 on Top.

Although they have customized their ZenUI a lot so that users can ultimately get Stock Android experience.

The UI is completely Clean as Android Should be without any bloatware.

Adreno 640 is said to be the GPU here.

And all of this is powered by a 5000mAh battery which does support fast charging at 18W and fast charger is itself provided in the box.

Overview

On the Front, there is a 6.39-inch 19.5:9 FHD+ IPS LCD Display Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

The Device has an all-view design.

Which means that there will be no notch or Punch- Hole, It will be complete display on the front.

However, to achieve that, Asus Implemented a Flipping Camera which is Completely Motorized and will flip over automatically every time.

Like for Selfies and for Face-Unlock System which is Fast but definitely not as fast as You Would have expected from a regular Flagship phone without any Motorized front camera system.

Whereas on the back, we get to see Asus Branding, Fingerprint Scanner and Dual Camera Setup System embedded in a Motorized Flip System.

Note that the Back panel is completely made up of Glass.

Asus Zenfone 6Z
Asus Zenfone 6Z

Camera Department

The Vertical Dual Camera Setup consists of a 48-Megapixel Sony IMX 586 Primary Sensor with an Aperture of f/1.79 and another 13-Megapixel Wide Angle Lens with an aperture of f/2.4 for shooting wide angle shots.

There are two types of Focus implemented by the company, which are Laser Auto-Focus and PDAF(Phase Detection Auto-Focus).

And Dual Tone Flash to support in Low Lighting.

This Setup can Record videos up to 4k@60fps and slo-mo 720p@480fps.

Unfortunately, there is no OIS(Optical Image Stabilization), but Asus has made sure to include EIS(Electronic Image Stabilization) which works flawlessly.

For Selfies, the Complete Rear Camera setup flips out and works as Front Shooter.

The best part is that You are getting the same 48-Megapixel Sony IMX 586 for selfies, as well as the Dual Tone Flash system.

And you can capture Wide Selfies too using the other 13-Megapixel Shooter.

For Vloggers, You can record 4k@60fps videos without any issues or caring about the focus, thanks to its Focus Systems Asus has provided.

As we said earlier that EIS is there, meaningly you guys can record stable Vlogs on the go.

There are some nifty features that Asus has included such as Auto-Panorama which is by far the best feature we have ever tested on any phone and it works fantastically.

Market Competition

At the price tag of ₹31,999 for the base variant, Asus Zenfone 6Z Directly competes with OnePlus 7.

So Which One is Better?
Both the phones have exactly the same processor and Rear Primary Camera.

Although there are certain things that make a difference.

When it comes to performance, both the phones will be at their best you won’t face any issue with any of them.

For the sake of this article, if we start nitpicking, The base variant of OnePlus 7 comes with 128GB of Internal Storage compared to 64GB on the Asus Zenfone 6Z.

OnePlus 7 also features OxygenOS which provides the best User Experience one can ever get on Android.

It even has an AMOLED Display, meaningly that no matter how good IPS LCD Display Asus puts on, AMOLED will always win!

Not only that, Faster Storage USB 3.0 on OnePlus & means that App Openings and Data Transfer speeds will be blazingly fast.

Asus Zenfone 6Z Front Display
Asus Zenfone 6Z Front Display

So does that mean you should go with OnePlus 7 over Asus Zenfone 6Z?

Not Exactly!

The all-new Asus Zenfone 6Z might have an IPS LCD Display but it is the best IPS LCD Display, sure it is not as good as AMOLED, but the difference in very low.

You might not even notice it in regular usage.

Moreover, Pictures came out from the Aus Zenfone 6Z are way better as Asus has worked a lot on post-processing.

Every time, we found pictures from Asus turn out to be better.

Also, Asus Zenfone 6Z comes with a completely bezel-less display which overall gives a better impression compared to a Notched Screen on OnePlus 7.

Notification LED on top is provided too in Zenfone 6Z which is Cherry on top.

And you won’t find any device with Notification LED on the front of the device which comes with Completely Bezel-Less Design.

Our Opinions

After all this, you might be like Which one should you Buy?

Well if the User interface and more Storage is your priority, go with OnePlus 7, apart from that Go with Asus Zenfone 6Z blindly.

Both phones are super powerful and equally good.  It is just the fact that Asus Zenfone 6Z offers some quite uncommon features which made us fall in love with it.

It is Available on Flipkart and you can buy it simply by clicking on the link down below!

Opera Gx Gaming Browser Launched! Better than Chrome?

0

Whenever it comes to interacting online, Browsers are what comes to your mind.

And if you reading this article, obviously you are familiar with browsers.

But you might have also heard about different browsers out there and might have thought about which one is the best among them!

Well if you are a Casual user, here is an article for you to check out!

But if you have below-average specs or is more of a tech geek interested in gaming as well, the all-new Opera GX can be the next big thing for you!

And there are certain features which makes it one of the best browsers out there not only for games but as well as for people with below-average specs PC.

Let’s have a look at them

Ram and CPU Usage Limiter

Honestly, this is one of the best feature out there which make me personally to try it out. You can set an amount of Ram and CPU to be used by your browser.

Why is it so underrated?

Well, let’s say you own an underpowered PC and wants to run some application simultaneously with the browser at the same time!

A browser like Chrome will eat your complete Ram and will definitely slow down your PC’s performance. After that forget about running any other program/ application with it.

But that’s not the case with Opera GX, having 4GB of Ram and if you know that you will be running other powerful programs at the same time, you can simply Restrict the Ram and CPU Power to be used by your browser.

This will make sure that you are not feeling your Desktop to be slow enough.

Stay in Touch with Gx Corner

As we said earlier that Opera has made Opera GX with Gaming as the main concern. And well if you are a gamer, Opera has included a dedicated section to check out the latest deals on games and even the latest news related to gaming.

They like to call it GX Corner.

And yes you can prioritize Deals and news on particular games too so that you don’t miss out deals on your favourite games.

GX Sound

Opera seems to have integrated and added some special sound effects and controls for the browser in collaboration with Mr Rubén Rincón and the band Berlinist.

Although as of now we, didn’t find any major difference or maybe we didn’t know the way to use it.

But that’s a feature Opera is mentioning so we thought to mention it as well.

Opera GX Design
Opera GX Design

Unique Layout

The design and overall theming of the browser are obviously made with keeping gamers in mind. This GX Design is new and something that hasn’t seen in any browser ever before or at least by default.

Opera has added some more customization options to choose from primary color and wallpaper with some presets as well.

So that you can match up with your look.

Not only that, you can even add your own wallpapers if you didn’t like the pre-loaded ones.

That definitely gives it a subtle look and looks very much polished.

You will definitely enjoy it.

Integrated Messengers

Opera has made sure to make it more of like Multi-tasker as well so that everyone will at least have a look at their new Opera GX.

Opera GX Video Pop Out
Opera GX Video Pop-Out

Having said that, Many famous messengers like Telegram, Whatsapp, Vkontakte, and Facebook messenger are integrated right into the sidebar so that it can be accessed from any tab. This makes sure that you can chat with your friends and family or with anyone at the same time while browsing or watching a youtube video.

Picture-in-Picture

Well if you love the picture-in-picture feature available in Android phones and wanted it to have in your Browser, Opera GX comes with it being on by default so that you can make Twitch or Youtube videos pop-out and watch them over any other tab or application.

Yes, the pop-out media will even work over other applications.

Built-in Ad Blocker

After all of this, you must be like it has everything but Brave browser lets me block the ads by default and conveniently.

And fortunately, Opera GX comes with an Ad Blocker too which can be enabled or disabled anytime and it works so fluidly that you won’t complain about it.

Well, you have got another reason to shift from your old browser.

Free in-built VPN

Ahem! There is an in-built VPN available for free so that you can access sites which have been blocked from your Country or can use it for any of your other concerned purposes.

There isn’t much to talk about it, but for sure this is literally insane.

Opera GX Ad Blocker
Opera GX Ad Blocker

Chrome Extensions Supported

Opera has made sure to leave you stunned, with a Support for Chrome Extensions, you can literally download and use any extension available for Chrome on your Opera GX browser.

So that you are not missing out anything once your shifts from chrome or any other Chromium-based browser.

Our Opinions

Are Pop Up Motorized Cameras Durable? Future of Smartphones?

0

So 2019, seems to be the year for Motorized Cameras in Smartphones! Even Most hyped phones like OnePlus 7 Pro and Redmi K20 Plus are having a Motorized Camera.

While Samsung doesn’t consider this as an optimal solution for completely bezel-less display, brands like Oppo and Vivo are trying their best to bring it even to the budget-priced smartphones.

Sure it does looks cool but is it Durable enough?

Because honestly, Having Moving part inside a smartphone is still a questionable move!

Durability

We won’t be talking about durability a lot as there are already tonnes of videos online to prove how durable certain motorized pop-up cameras can be.

Have a look at OnePlus 7 Pro Pop-Up Camera, its durable and users a lifting 20Kgs of Stuff using its pop-up camera!

While the motorized system on Oppo Find X is the main reason behind it being fragile.

So Yes, the durability of motorized cameras is still questionable.

Having said that, the durability of the motorized system totally depends on the company and we can say that if the company want so, the motorized system can be durable as well.

Practicality

While Pop up cameras might be durable, they don’t offer any practicality.

There are a lot of flaws which a company has to deal with to ensure a durable and stable working motor.

Some of them include Weight Management, build quality, etc.

Having a motorized camera in smartphone also means the fact it will be adding to the smartphone total weight and hence making it heavy.

At the same time, a top-heavy phone can be used as a negative con point by reviewers.

Companies also have to ensure that the motor follows certain standards like it is not getting heated up and has a long life.

Even as a developer, it becomes an extra step while making custom ROMs for the device or the user may end up having locked front camera.

Also, by any chance, if the coding went wrong, the user may end up having a continuously popping up and closing motor.

Alternative

And after all of these complaints, you must be like if there is any solution to it?
Well, fortunately, Xiaomi and Oppo have already found a solution of embedding cameras inside the screen of the smartphone just like the in-display fingerprint sensor.

How they did that?

The science to understand behind this is simple, whenever you trigger the front camera, the transparent OLED or AMOLED screen turns off certain pixels and makes the area transparent.

This allows the camera to see through the screen and act as a regular front camera.

While there isn’t anything confirmed for the front of the device, the device is expected to either come with a notch or a complete bezel on top!

Why so?

As far as the leaks go, there isn’t any fingerprint sensor in the device and Google will be opting for 3D Face Unlock Just like the Apple did with their Latest iPhones.

Meaningly you will see an IR Camera, Dot projector and couple of other sensors on the front of the device.

But if you ignore that fact, Google might be using an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner.

Because of this confusion, we cannot comment on any Screen Size but for sure it is going to be 19:9 gOLED FHD+ Display on the front.

Whereas on the back, there is a Dual Camera Setup with a Couple of Sensor sensor including a Time-of-flight camera.

Check out this Wikipedia Article to know more about time-of-flight camera

Market Competiton

Google’s All-new Flagship will be directly competing with the iPhone XI, Samsung S10+ and even with Samsung Note 10!

So it would be great to see how Google will manage to get their champion to win the race this time.

Our Opinions

So what do we think about the upcoming Pixel 4 is that it can be an amazing device when it comes to features and performance.

But one thing where it might lack for sure is the design department as Google has already started to receive a lot of hate for it.

Still, it will be interesting to see how Google will manage that.

Although it is too early to judge the device just on the basis of an early image and even without testing the device.
