Oppo Reno Launched in India! 10X Zoom Capabilities
Oppo Has always been a company known for Oddly Priced smartphones and Innovation. After years of such reviews by YouTubers, Oppo has finally launched Oppo Reno which is not only innovative but also priced right.
So Is it Really that good as people are calling it? Let’s find out in this article!
Also to make things clear, there are two variants launched by Oppo which are Reno and Reno 10X Zoom. The Regular Reno comes with Snapdragon 710 while 10x Zoom variant comes with Snapdragon 855. And in this article, we will be reviewing the 10x Zoom Variant.
The all-new Oppo Reno comes with A Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB of Ram and 128GB of Internal Storage for the base variant and 8GB of Ram with 256GB of Internal Storage for the Top Variant.
Adreno 640 is said to be the GPU here.
The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top out of the box.
And all of this is powered by a 4065mAh battery which comes with VOOC Fast charging support at 20W.
On the front, there is a 6.6-inches 19.5:9 FHD+ AMOLED Display without any notch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Fingerprint Scanner is embedded in the screen only(Under Display).
Whereas on the back, there is a Verticle Triple Camera setup, Oppo Branding and Completely made up of Glass.
On a side note, this Device Looks and Feels Premium.
Qualcomm’s latest flagship offering Snapdragon 855 is a 64-Bit Octa-Core Processor with Eight Kryo-485 Cores clocked at 2.84Ghz and built on 7nm Process technology.
This Chipset does support 5G Technology which is yet to be launched in India but there is no word by the company if the Black Shark will support it or not.
GPU used here is Adreno 640 and does come with AIE(Artificial Intelligence Engine) Technology.
Qualcomm’s Hexagon 690 Processor is used as DSP(Digital Signal Processor).
Oppo Reno 10x Zoom comes with a 48-Megapixel Primary Shooter with an Aperture of f.1/7, 13-Megapixel Periscope Lens with an Aperture of f/3.0 and 130mm Focal Length(Telephoto) and another 8-Megapixel Wide Angle Lens with Aperture f/2.2.
Yep, that a really complicated Camera Setup.
Also, the Regular Shooter and WIde Angle Shooter comes with OIS for each of them to get stable shots and Videos.
The Device is obviously capable of SHooting 4k@60fps videos and slo-mo 1080p@240fps.
For the front camera, there is a 16-Megapixel Shark Fin Style Pop Up Camera with an Aperture of f/2.0 which is completely motorized.
There a LED Flash on both the sides(Front and Rear) to support in Low Lighting.
At a starting price of ₹39,999($570) in India, this is a Killer deal and definitely worth considering over the regular OnePlus 7 Pro if you are not looking to get a 90Hz Display.
Although one major part where you are being compromised is UI, Oppo Reno 10x comes with ColorOS 6.0 which is not the worst but definitely offers a Poor User Experience.
So if you are okay with ColorOS 6.0, You can not get anything better than Oppo Reno 10x.
In case if you are wondering about Black Shark 2, it is Gaming Oriented Phone and Doesn’t Offer the Camera setup that Reno Offers. You can obviously play games on Reno 10x without any issues.
And Forget about the Honor 20 Pro, Oppo Reno 10x and Even Black Shark 2 is way ahead of it.
Seriously Oppo Has surprised with this pricing this time and is definitely worthy to buy.
