Did you just purchased a new pair of wireless headphones or earphones?
Am pretty sure that you were quite pleased with it unless and until you connected them with your Windows 10 Powered Laptop or Computer.
And as you are reading this article, let me also tell you that Audio Stuttering issues over Bluetooth on Windows 10 is one of the most common issues out there.
While there can be a lot of reasons behind it, there are some quick methods to fix it.
Do note that I am running on the latest Windows 10 May 2019 build while writing this article.
Also, I am preassuming that you have already tried out basic things like reconnecting your headphone and restarting windows as well as your headset.
Now that those things didn’t fixed your issue, lets jump right into the article.
Uninstalling Bluetooth Drivers
A lot of times, Drivers are obsolete or just stop working the way they should by themselves.
Instead of Updating them, simply uninstall.
How to do so?
- Click on Search in the Bottom of Start bar
- Type Device Manager and Hit Enter
- Locate and Double Click on Bluetooth to expand it
- Right on ‘Wireless Bluetooth(R)’
- Click on Uninstall
- Restart your PC and try connecting your Bluetooth Headset again
This should solve not only audio stuttering issues but all the driver based issues. Just in case if you are still facing the issues or your issue was gone but it start stutter again after some time, look for our next solution.
Disable Handsfree Telephony
- Open Control Panel
- Click on Hardware and Sound
- Click on Devices and Printers
- Under Devices, locate the name of your Bluetooth Earphones/Headphone or speaker and Right Click on it
- Click on Properties
- Under the Services tab, make sure that Handsfree Telephone” is Unchecked
- If not, uncheck it and click on Apply then OK
Uninstall Avrcp Transport and RFCOMM
Before making any changes, let us understood what Avrcp transport is.
Avrcp transport allows Bluetooth devices to remotely control audio and video media on another device. For example, by stopping and starting tracks, and skipping to the next or previous track.
Simply Uninstall it by right-clicking on it.
Uninstall ‘Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) too and restart your Laptop or Computer.
