Samsung is one of the brands which has always been known for worst budget devices. But with their new M-sire smartphone in 2019, it seems to be improving a lot.
And now they are back with Samsung Galaxy m40 which has already been in the hype because of it being the first device in budget pricing to have complete bezel-less display and Punch hole camera.
So is it really that good?
Let us find out in this article!
The all-new Samsung’s budget offering comes with Snapdragon 675 Soc coupled 6GB of Ram and 128GB of Internal Storage.
The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with OneUI on top.
And all of this is powered by a 3500mAh battery and fast charging is supported at 15W.
Qualcomm’s Latest Offering Snapdragon 675 is an Octa-Core 64-Bit Processor with Eight Kryo 460 Cores clocked at 2.0Ghz and built on 11nm FinFet Process Technology.
Hexagon 685 is Used as DSP(Digital Signal Processor) here.
This processor was also seen in Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro which offered consistent and reliable performance. But Users did face Heating Issues.
On the front, there is a 6.3-inches FHD+ TFT LCD 19:9 Display without any bezel or distraction and just a Puch Hole Camera on top left.
On the back, there is a Vertical Triple Camera Setup, Flash, Fingerprint Sensor and Samsung Branding.
The device is completely made up of plastic with Glass Like Finish to make it look premium.
The triple camera setup at the back consists of a 32-Megapixel Primary shooter with an aperture of f/1.7, another 5-Megapixel Shooter for Depth Sensing and another 8-Megapixel Shooter with f/2.2 Aperture for Wide Angle shots.
Both the cameras perform brilliantly, Dynamic Range was really good and we were able to capture a perfect picture overall. Balanced Saturation, White Balance and Color Science.
Whereas on the front, there is a 16-Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. Which was decent but can be improved.
Although Poco F1 comes with IPS LCD Display, it is far better than the TFT Panel on M40.
But if you are not a tech geek, you will find Samsung Galaxy M40 better due to its completely bezel-less design and punch hole camera.
Performance wise, there is no way for Samsung Galaxy M40 to survive. Snapdragon 845 on the Poco F1 directly kills Snapdragon 675 on M40.
Not only that, cameras on Poco F1 are way better than the cameras on M40.
Coming to Redmi k20, its an upgraded version of Poco F1 and even offers Completely Bezel-Less AMOLED Display on top with Pop-Up Camera, that makes it way better than Samsung Galaxy M40.
So should you buy it? Well you can, if you only want to go with Samsung.
Otherwise, it is suggested to wait a month and straight away get the Redmi K20.
Redmi K20 is no brainer.
